German club institution Galerie Kurzweil is celebrating a decade of existence with events in Istanbul, Miami, Berlin, Bitola and Skopje.

In the world of electronic music, anniversaries are not only moments in time but also dance floor beats throughout history. Galerie Kurzweil, one of Germany's most renowned electronic music clubs, recently reached its anniversary – a decade of unstoppable music and clubbing passion. To mark this momentous event and ten year journey, Galerie Kurzweil organizes celebrations for fans of club music in many parts of the world.

Outside the hallowed walls of the Darmstadt club, Galerie Kurzweil  is embarking on a world tour, bringing their unique vibe to electrifying music destinations around the world. This global celebration is a testament to the club's lasting influence on the electronic music scene. Their trip includes events at clubs in Istanbul (Kafes x Milo Beach), Miami (Do Not Sit On The Furniture), Berlin (://about blank), Skopje (Epicentar) and Bitola (Club Jagoda). Each destination is chosen accordingly to share the experience of Galerie Kurzweil with the world, and every event promises to be unforgettable with an electronic music experience. This is an ideal opportunity to unite Macedonian clubs in this world club story and put the Macedonian scene on the map with quality club events.

What does Galerie Kurzweil club owner Alper Sepik have to say about the idea and vision of the club?

"Already as a teenager I had the dream of running my own club. I am very grateful that I have been able to live this dream together with my business partner Juan Gravalos for ten years now. Not everyone has the opportunity to realise their visions in life. For me, in regard of Galerie Kurzweil, this means a combination of state of the art sound and a signature aesthetic in terms of design of the premises as well as the artwork. Our aim is to put together a very high-quality music programme and to gather the crème de la crème of the international DJ scene here. As an electronic music club in a comparatively small city, this is not always easy, but we are happy to take on the challenge. Our two major projects for the tenth anniversary – the vinyl compilation on one hand and the world tour on the other – have demanded a lot from us and we are proud of the result. Having heard a lot of good things about the electronic music scene in Macedonia, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming events at Club Jagoda and Club Epicentar!".

Galerie Kurzweil never disappoints when it comes to music program and selection of DJs. The world tour will feature exceptional headliners that embody the spirit of electronic music, including the first appearance of Praslea in Epicentar, Skopje on the 21st of October. Praslea is much more than a DJ and producer. He is a storyteller through his mixes, an architect of extraordinary experiences on the podium and a guardian of the Romanian underground. He originates from the "living" city Bucharest, Romania. With a penchant for minimalism and a unique knack for creating hypnotic musical journeys, Praslea has earned his place among the elite in the pantheon of the Romanian music scene.

His performance will be accompanied by Galerie Kurzweil's resident DJs, Helge Frerikson & Lukas Lehmann and the macedonian electronic duo Mitrik & Samardjiski. This team of 4 DJs will also perform at the club Jagoda, Bitola, for on 20th of October where they will present a quality electronic music experience through mutual b2b sets. The club Jagoda has been chosen as part of this tour because of its unique and industrial atmosphere that it possesses, but undoubtedly also because of the always warm young audience that openly accepts quality electronic music.

What do they have to say about the anniversary tour of the club Galerie Kurzweil?

Lukas Lehmann: We have had the idea for a long time to organize joint events with affiliated clubs and promoters outside of Germany. The tenth anniversary was a fitting occasion to put the whole thing into practice. The project is exciting, but also a big challenge, because we are moving out of our comfort zone. Here on site we know the guests and the conditions well. However, different rules and musical preferences usually prevail in other cities. The way an event is promoted can also vary widely. That's why we cooperate with local communities based in the respective cities. In general, exchange is always a positive thing – this is as true in the music scene as it is in other areas of life. We are happy to expand our international network and look forward to the events in Skopje and Bitola.

Helge Frerikson: In January 2023, I was invited by the promoters of Roomania.mk to perform at the Epicentar club in Skopje. We had a fantastic time. Sharing a similar vision for our music, we felt connected immediately. That's why we organized a joint event in our club Galerie Kurzweil in Darmstadt, Germany with the headliner Traumer and the resident DJs of roomania, Mitrik & Samardjiski. This is how our Skopje-Darmstadt relationship began. With the upcoming event in Skopje, our friendship now reaches a new level. I am very excited to be a part of the world tour Galerie Kurzweil in Skopje and Bitola where I will share the DJ booth with Lukas, MItrik, Samardjiski and Praslea to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Galerie Kurzweil and our relationship Germany - Macedonia.

People, music, connection and good dance experience. That is the reason why we are doing this whole organization.

Also, in honor of the 10th anniversary, Galerie Kurzweil curated a masterpiece – 3 x color vinyl compilation. This audio treasure trove is adorned with amazing artwork by the talented Jofeca and features exclusive tracks from top artists in the industry. With names like Gerd Janson (aka DJ Oyster), Cinthie, Lauer × Johannes Albert, Sound Support, Wolfram, Move D and the local legends like Thomas Hammann (aka Retina Dreams), Terry Lee Brown Junior, Lui Hill, Phonk D, Lukas Lehmann, Levitation Venue and Accent Circonflexe (aka Nouki & Jule), this compilation is a testament to the dedication of Galerie Kurzweil for pushing the boundaries of electronic music.

The journey of Galerie Kurzweil has just begun and there is no limit to how far the progressive repetitive rhythm of electronic music can take them.
